WICKLOW MOUNTAINS – We travel North to experience the Garden of Ireland. From Arklow we drive through the Vale of Avoca, continuing to the ancient monastic settlement at Glendalough. WATERFORD – Established in Viking times, the town has a fine medieval flavour with Reginald’s Tower, Ireland’s oldest civic building. We also visit the Waterford Crystal Visitors Centre, including a Factory Tour. KILKENNY – The past echoes in every step as you walk through the medieval city of Kilkenny. Explore its ancient laneways, wonder at the magnificent halls of Kilkenny Castle or experience the glory of the 13th century Canice’s Cathedral. |
